Looks like the WIX is turning into the Classifieds

I recently sold a complete SCR-695 IFF set to a group that is restoring post-WWII fighter prototype, the only one known by them to be in existence. I had listed this gear earlier in WIX, where they noticed it. They had been searching for it for 15 years!

If you are not aware of how to get the original electronic systems used in vintage warbirds, such as by consulting online resources like WIX, you are not going to succeed in doing a total & authentic reconstruction job.

I understand what you're trying to do and why...and for all I know hundreds of warbirds operators are looking for what you're selling.
It's just that you're a new member and it seems that all your posts are offering something to sell.

14 posts in 11 days does seem a bit commercial...

That's great, but, there is a Classified section down the board.

Three of those posts were accidental & were up because this board was giving me problems.

FYI. I have years worth of a collection in my basement. Mostly WWII to Vietnam. Most belongs in restored aircraft. And I'm retired & living on a fixed income. Commercial... It either gets sold to guys who are restoring warbirds or it goes to scrap. If I'm not welcome here I'll just put in on eBay & let the restorers hunt for it.

That's great. I read the Rules of Conduct before posting here. I can't find the 'Classified' section. Any hints? I'd be happy to post there if I could find it.

I'd say your plenty welcome here. Nothing wrong with posting where you think you should have posted and find out later there's a better location on this site to post your stuff for sale. It happens.

The link your looking for is a few posts up.

Some constructive advice would be to add photos to your posts of items for sale. (really good close up and detailed photos)
I'd like to see what you have. Do you have a website?, facebook page?, flickr account? where you may have photos posted?

Best of luck as it seems you have good intentions.

Mark

Welcome Jack, sorry your having trouble finding the right place and still flumuxed on how to post photos. You're actually on the 2nd page of this forum. To find the WIX Flea Market, you have to go to the Board Index and scroll down to the WIX Market and you'll find the Aviation Parts Market there. Mark is real good at posting photos, maybe he wouldn't mind helping you out. We can then link your old posts to your Market "Stall" or other creative things to help hook you up with new caretakers of the artifacts you're trying to find homes for.

I was the purchaser of the Rebecca system jack had listed a little bit further down the forum and had I not seen it here I would not have seen it at all. After 2 years of searching I saw it by pure luck on here.

When you have very rare equipment, it should be put in the place with the most exposure. While we do have have flea market, it does not see the action this main forum does. Likewise we also have a restoration section and yet we have a large amount of restoration threads in the main WIX subforum, including my own C-47 restoration thread.
