Hello everybody. Just want to share my Wednesday evening road trip adventure to Leon's. We met Leon in Norwalk where all his collection of aircraft was kept, all that's left is the T-33, H-19's, good amount of T-6 parts/pieces. Still thinking about bringing the T-6 stuff back to Toledo. Anyways, after that we went to Leon's home and spent a couple of hours looking through what he had there. Needless to say that when I left my pickup was full of things. Just some of the things included; P-38 wheel, set of T-6 wheels and tires, compass out of a medium bomber ( working on pictures ), a few instruments, a WW2 Signal Corps BC1016 recorder ( weighs about 60 lbs. ), different radio components for WW2 aircraft, Ex-Cell-O fuel pump! We all are fortunate enough to have people like Leon who had the forethought and ambition to obtain and save not only the parts but the aircraft as well! One can only imagine the treasures waiting to be found in Newbury!
