Here's one from J Baugher's lists,
"Douglas A-24B-15-DT Dauntless, 42-54664 converted to ZDF-24B drone controller. Scrapped Nov 1951 at Wright Field."

And this one below I've posted here on WIX before.

"Douglas A-24A Dauntless, 42-6783 (MAN 1538) remanufactured at QF-24A 48-044"

Any reason given or explanation for the bumps on the top cowling? Interesting.

Looks like QF-24A 42-6783 is set up for remotely piloted operations. Support van with generator in trailer and a former simulator as the control station. Looks like a TV camera (?) in the belly fairing. Drone dive bombing or drone suicide missions?

I'd guess with a little effort someone could get the story out of NMUSAF archives...
