Warbird Information Exchange

In a previous post you talk about a group of aircraft enthusiasts in Argentina with information of the aircraft in service in Argentina. I'm looking for information and photos if possible of our F86 which served in Argentina 1960-1986 marked C-125. I have the history in the US but very little in Argentina.
Do you know who would be a good contact for my research?

The following, comes from the book on the F-86F-30-NA Sabre, in service with the Fuerza Aerea Argentina, published by Mr. Jorge Nunez Padin (marauder "@" satlink.com), he would be the best person to contact - and if you do not have the book, may I suggest you purchase one? Really good stuff, great photos, historical data, and the price is IIRC about US$15.00 or so.

Although the book is in Spanish, it has an English section and photo captions are in English, too.

"C-125 is an F-86F-30-NA (msn 191-682), ex-USAF 52-4986A, received with a total of 1886.40 flight hours on November 19, 1960. WFU August 11, 1986 with a total of 4948.45 flight hours. Exported to the USA and registered by Coleman Warbird Museum (Coleman, TX) on June 03, 1990. Sold to DK Precision (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) Sept. 1990 as N188RL. Sold to Michael Keenum in June '92 (Palos Altos, IL) and operated by the Air Classic Museum (Du Page, IL); flies with the markings of a famous F-86F FU-584 / "MiG Mad Marine" as flown by John Glenn during the Korean War."

There is also a good book -again, in Spanish- on the Southern Cross Squadron, the Argentinean AF's acrobatic Squadron; I do not know if C-125 was part of the team. I am just arriving home and I will look for this book in the next few days.

As Rob already stated, you need to contact Jorge directly.

Ask him also, to provide you with contacts for Dr. Attilio Marino, who wrote IIRC the book on the Sabre's Aerobatic Team. You will probably have to send them cash because checks or money orders are very expensive for them to cash at the bank.

But the book or books will make it to you without any problems.

Jorge Nunez has published an excellent series of books, and as Rob mentioned, the Corsair is a good one. These are the ones I have acquired:
