Air Transport Command and crew info request

Wed Dec 07, 2016 9:14 pm

I am looking for info on the Air Transport Command for our bird. C-53 41-20095. We have a fractured history report as follows

Bolling AAF Jan 42
AAF Ferry Command Palm Beach Fl March 42
ATC North Atlantic Wing Presque Isle ME July 43
Accident report May 18, 44 Cairo Tire blew on landing and it went up on its nose due to incorrect CG.
Pilots listed as 1st Lt Jack L Bartlett 0-800453 and 2nd Lt Sindey C Little 0-523906 Radio operator Sgt J.L. Felotico 32406075
Dropped from 9th AF ETO in May 45. Sold to Danish Airlines

There seems to be a lack of info or vets groups and specific history related to the Air Transport Command, so we are looking for any and all info. Specific info we are looking for is anything to do with the specific crew that had the accident. I haven't had much luck searching for them online and their serial numbers have turned up nothing. The pictures attached to the report are almost reduced to a silhouette with no markings or details visible. Maybe someone has better access then me on google and or yearbooks for ATC classes around that era that would have crews listed.

We would also like any info or pics on any of the bases she was assigned, and pictures of ATC aircraft and operations there. Any pics of C-53s specifically would also be great!

Wow ok thats more then I ever found. I figured with their name rank and SN that information would be easy to find but their numbers dont shop in any records search engines. We would love to find contact info for surviving family members.
