Australia's latest flying Mustang - airborne today

Fri Dec 16, 2016 2:55 am

Australia's latest CAC Mustang has flown today in Victoria. Peter Gill's CA-23 Mustang A68-199 has today flown for the first time in nearly 28years. Here it is taking off at Tyabb, Victoria. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... S_TIMELINE

Don't mean to burst yer bubble, but Mustangs don't take off with full flaps in. Nice picture but just worded incorrectly. :P :P

Just curious, does anybody know if this Peter Gill is the same one who runs the flight-manuals-on-cd online store?

Just to clear up a couple of errors in the original post:

It is not a CA-23 (that was a cancelled fighter project) it is a CA-18 MK23 Mustang (made under licence in Australia from NA) and yes it is certainly landing, not taking off.....

Congrats are in order to Peter Gill for an outstanding restoration job, looks amazing :D
