This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future
I attended the Florida Int'l Airshow in Punta Gorda on April 1st. It was a good "general purpose" airshow that had the USAF T-Birds as the main event.
For the warbird fan there was a spirited display by John Mohr in a Stearman, Fred Cabanas with a display in his Sea Fury (highlight for me -first time seeing a Sea Fury), the Aeroshell T6 team and the P51/A10 heritage flight.
I shot video at the show but here are some shots from the static park.
Wow, nice report. I am also tickled that you included my airplane in you post !! The blue and Yellow T-6 like plane is actually a BT-14 and The Florida International Airshow was the public debut. I answered lots of questions and had a really good time as an exhibitor. Thanks again for the exposure. There will be more on the BT 14 in Warbird Digest magazine in the near future.
Very nice BT14. I was at the show on Saturday. Too bad I wasn't by when you were there. I'm looking forward to reading about the history and resto of it in WD.
