F7F Tigercat Bad Kitty sold?

Wed Jan 25, 2017 7:42 pm

Has anyone else heard anything about Historic Flight Foundation's Tigercat being sold to a certain Houston collector or being traded to Planes of Fame?

Save for an Avenger and Goose, the addition of the F7F pretty well rounds-out the Grumman-built section of the collection (Friedkin).

Not entirely sure, just something I had heard. Judging by the registration though, I think it has been sold.

According to their FB page HFM is getting a DH 89 Rapide (ex G-AHXW)

Hi all, I am a new member and a docent at Historic Flight Foundation. The Tigercat is indeed gone to California. Our DH89 is now freshly painted in a BEA scheme. The Rapide was AKIK not part of a trade. Warbird business is usually pretty hush hush so any details of a trade and future aquisitions are kept under the table in most cases. HFF did aquire a Stearman that is supposed to be a late and relative low time aircraft. It has undergone overhaul, recovering and finished in the all silver paint.
