Seattle/Northwest Aviation 2017

Thought I'd start a thread dedicated to NW aviation. Anyone in the Seattle area is encouraged to participate. There is lots of activity up here and it will be a great season. I recently spent some time up at the North Cascades Vintage Aircraft Museum in Concrete Washington. Great place, and while not warbird oriented, it is a great venue for 30's, 40's and 50's aviation.

The Kinner looks to be mounted up to a Waco of some sort. Not sure about the low winger but Pasped Skylark comes to mind.

Here are a few more...glad you guys like the classics! @Joe...the Fairchild is a work of art...unfortunately they rarely fly it, pretty sure this is the one they have a hard time finding Menasco engine parts. I can do an entire thread on the Monocoupes both the clipped wing and the long wing.





I was up the Museum of Flight last month for an event and had a chance to see the pavilion. There is a push to completely enclose it...which it needs. While it protects them somewhat, they are still exposed to the harsh climate up here.

Few more...this Clipped wing Monocoupe is based on a 90a fuselage...I guess the wreckage of the original 064 was incorporated to a Monocoupe in St. Louis. I'd have to do some digging to confirm that but it is still a Monocoupe
