Museum Aircraft Serial Number Lists... help

Mon Jan 30, 2017 6:56 am

Hi all,

I'm looking to put together museum profiles for use in conjunction with the registry. These will include a list of aircraft owned by the museum with links to specific aircraft in the Registry. I was hoping one of you would be able to help with this. All museums are needed so if you have a list for only one then every little bit helps.

I have a list oganised by aircraft on my site for the museums I have been to:

http://www.martinsammodels.com/Webpage/ ... rcraft.htm

If you click on each aircraft you will see a list of aircraft IDs and location for that airframe. If you clcick on each individual ID, you will see a break down including ID, Serial number, and original operator as well as pictures of that aircraft.

Hopefully it is of use to you. I am also going to PIMA in may and should have all of those aircraft complete by the end of the summer.

I have almost all aircraft from the following museums included:
Air Zoo, Kalamazoo, Michigan, U.S.A.

Bush Plane Museum, Sault St.Marie, Ontario, Canada

Canada Aviation and Space Museum, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Canadian Historical Aircraft Association, Windsor, Ontario, Canada

Canadian War Museum , Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum , Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

EAA Museum, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, U.S.A.

Military Aviation Museum, Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

National Museum of the United States Air Force, Dayton, Ohio, USA

New England Air Museum, Windsor Locks, Connecticut, USA

Pacific Aviation Museum, Pearl Harbour, Hawaii, USA

Polish Aviation Museum, Krakow, Poland

Polish Military museum, Warsaw, Poland

RCAF Museum, Trenton, Ontario, Canada

Selfridge ANGB Air Park, Detroit, Michigan, USA

Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Washington D.C., USA

The collection of the Queensland Air Museum at Caloundra, Australia is thoroughly documented:

Also, lists of aircraft at the various aircraft parks on current and former military bases would be useful as well.
