hi gentlemen, finally after all these year i got round to doing the Bolo, now i have a problem, anyone have clear images or drawing of unit badges carried by these aircraft.

Do you have access to a copy of "Douglas B-18 Bolo" by William Wolf? Aside from a number of photos, there is also a short discussion of exterior markings on pages 71-75. If you don't have access, drop me a PM and I'll try and help.

Were the Canadian Digbys former USAAC airframes, or were they new builds for the RCAF?

They were independently bought.
Hagedorn in his recent B-18 book firmly states that they were not Lend Lease (unlike what might be found in other books) and have Douglas MSNs that are earlier than the USAAC aircraft.
That is backed up by the serial list in Francillon's Douglas Aircraft Since 1920 book.
