Danish boy finds remains of German Messerschmitt in a field

That is pretty cool! It would be interesting to learn how the plane was resting - did it belly land, hard crash? Just the curious things that come to mind. Also, I am glad the pilot will be repatriated.

4 to 6 meters down, many small pieces, extensive damage to the front of the engine, and the relatively small radius of the excavation hole... it'd be a fair guess that it went almost straight-in. Luckily, it was soft boggy ground. Ditto, RIP for the pilot and his family. Who was he? It'll be interesting to hear of the details to come.
