C-46 Flight Characteristics

Fri Apr 21, 2017 6:54 pm

I've been watching Ice Pilots NWT and they mention multiple times how hard it is to fly the C-46, but never say why its so hard to fly.

Just curious if there are any C-46 pilots on here that could talk about it's flight characteristics and what makes it a challenge.

Thanks!

Really good stuff from a guy who flew it to its limits for Air America.

A senior pilot I knew from 313 TCG called the C-46 a RONSON lighter with wings....leaky fuel system.
