I'm banned from the Key Publishing forums

How weird. I just tried logging onto the Key Publishing warbird forum, which I have frequented for years, and got the message that I have been banned forever, no reason given. I don't think I've ever done anything more controversial than asking which was preferable, high wings or low, or something of that ilk. Maybe they didn't like an Air & Space article I'd written...

.. so I violated a rule that doesn't actually exist... allegedly "off-site harassment" for questioning what appears to be a warbird scam in the offing.

I don't think either of you have been banned, at least officially!

It seems that a moderator's password was compromised, and the perpetrator has used the moderators power to 'ban' people.

I am banished, too.

Not really an active participant, but visited once in a while; long time membership; never warned, admonished or suspended at all.

Same here. I'm also banned.
It seems a moderator account was hacker and the hacker banned a lot of people. They are trying to fix things, but I guess it could take a while.

I've also been banned, don't know how long it will take them to sort it out. Must admit I felt it was quite upsetting and annoying at the same time, as I didn't know what I was supposed to have done wrong. It was only this morning that I saw the post about what had happened and then I realised it had affected quite a few besides me.
