Mudge the Sorely Missed

Tue Jul 04, 2017 3:10 am

Greetings Wixers!
I don't know if this is the right place for this. WIX was definitely Brad's hangout, but I found that everyone here was helpful and caring, so I thought I would reach out again.
I can't believe it's been over eight months since Brad (Mudge) passed away. I still miss him every moment of every day. To those of you who shared pictures of him or us, I can't thank you enough. I truly treasure any reminders of our wonderful years together!!
The reason I am here today is to ask for your help once again. I think I am finally ready to let go of the "Mudge Collection". I haven't changed anything since he passed away, but I think it's time to let go of the past and try to move on. I'm not really sure what to do with all of the paintings and photos that are still hanging on the walls. I know some of you expressed an interest in some of the things he had, and I would rather have things go to people who knew him rather that just start listing things on eBay or LetGo.
I really don't know the value of anything, but I trust that anyone in this group would be fair. I'm far more interested in finding new homes for his treasures than in trying to make a profit from the things he cared about. He had everything matted in red, white, and blue, and identically framed. Quite a few of his things were signed, limited editions. You know, of course, that the largest part of the collection was the fabulous P-38.
I am going to try to put together an inventory. I will probably make that a project on this 4th of July. That might take my mind off of the fact that we spent so many 4ths at Duxford.
If anyone is interested in anything, please reach out to me at my personal email: eneybl1@comcast.net. That's where I'll be able to provide you with the inventory, since I don't know if that would be permitted on this site. I will be happy to work with you on packing and shipping.
Thank you all again for your kind words of condolence and for sharing your memories.

Mrs. Mudge the still heartbroken (Lin)

Mrs. Mudge,

Mudge is sorely missed. He was and still is a big part of WIX. If there's anything I can do to help just let me know.

Thanks for dropping by here Lin. Hope you are doing well despite your loss.

Yes, this is the right place! I for one would like to see you post photos of the art he had collected.

I just know Brad would have wanted to share his collection with other WIXers. He had a lot of online friends here and I really appreciated his sense of humor, obviously you did as well! I really enjoyed meeting him in person at Chino a few years back so I could put a face and voice to the name. He always spoke highly and respectfully of you. He was quite a gentleman in that respect.

It is very thoughtful for you to offer his collection here first. I suspect all my "treasures" will end up in the dumpster when I pass.

Thanks again,

Brandon (AKA "bdk")
