I saw what looked like a set of P-40 wings in Aero Trader's hangar over the weekend.
Anyone know the story?

Thanks for the heads up Bdk
I wonder if it has anything to do with all the Neil Bird P-40 stuff that was stored by Aerotrader !
If I remember correctly Aerotrader had done a P-40N restoration for Doug Arnold back in the late 80s/ early 90s. Anyone know what ever happened to that P-40N ?

The last I've seen mentioned about the aircraft was in 2009, that it is in storage in a container likely at Greenham Common. Interestingly, however, the combat-vet P-51D "Mary Mine", also owned by Arnold (now David Arnold, son of Doug), finally emerged from storage earlier this year and is now at Air Leasing, presumably to be restored to fly.

The wings were bolted together and my quick glance made me think they were already rebuilt.

The most recent Air Classics has a blurb about the ex-Evergreen P-40 being in Chino. Reportedly being returned to Airwothy status by Matt Nightengale.

Thanks for the update Warbirdnerd.
Does anyone know if the P-40K is now owned by the CF or someone else ?

The P-40N has been out of storage and reassembled for quite a while now. Latest reports suggest it may be in line for restoration to airworthy before long.
