When it comes to fighters, the 352nd is one of the most famous fighter groups.
Is there an equivalent bomber group? In your opinion which one would it be?

Probably the 91st. It seemed to get all the glory!

My opinion only, but it would be one of three:
1) The 345th Bomb Group - "Air Apaches"
or
2) 100th Bomb Group - "Bloody Hundredth"
or
3) 509th Composite Group

Got to agree with the 100th...especially if the HBO mini series features them as has been reported.
509th, they did the only mission modern high school students learn about...

I'm kinda partial to the 491st (my father is the one on the left. He was on the ground crew)

Well, since I do help with the Wendover museum I am partial to about 20 different groups but I do agree with the 509th.
But the 100th and the 306th come in close (Bloody 100th and 306th 'First over Germany')
or there is the 308th - the only Flying Tigers bomb group
or. or . or
They all deserve more respect than anyone can give. . .

Yes to the 100th! If you read jablonskis book you will see that people like Rosie rosenthal, big frank vasech ( hang the expense) , on and on were unusual people and what they did was " above and beyond" to say the least. The book is "Flying Fortress".

To the general public, probably the 91st due to (both) Memphis Belle movies.

The 19th. In the fight from day one.

3rd Attack Group "The Grim Reapers"

If we were in the UK, I'd agree about 617 Squadron, they're worshipped over there to the detriment of all other Bomber Command units.

Thanks for the suggestions. Keep em coming.
Can anybody recommend any websites devoted to these groups? I'm looking for histories and specifically mission lists.
Thanks.
