If I may,

the thread title should remain as is.

Down the road, with a corrected title, anyone reading this, who hasn't read it before, will be confused, and more questions will be upcoming.

Easier to leave it like it is. Everyone errs at one time or another, some -like yours truly- more frequently than it should be legally allowed :drink3:

But covering the error - short of making the whole thread disappear- will not IMHO, work.

Saludos,

Tulio "Erratum humanum est"

While on the subject of incidents at OSH, what was the deal with Doc doing the go around after it's performance on Friday? Fire trucks rushed out to the scene then I saw Doc do a pass down Runway 27 and didn't see it return after that. Someone said that it had a braking issue, but must have not been that bad if it went back up Saturday.

Problem was with FiFi on the ground, which landed before Doc.

That's what I thought, Fifi hadn't cleared the runway - but it never came back around and landed on 36. I saw it do a low pass down 27 like it was having the tower look at something and someone told me they were concerned with an issue with the brakes. I never saw it land unless it came back around and landed on 9. I was down by the DC-3s and Albatrosses across from ultralights. However I did see it parked on the Boeing ramp later that night.

It was quite clear over ATC on Friday that on landing roll-out "FIFI" had a hydraulic issue/no hydraulic pressure and thus no brakes. ATC immediately radioed "Doc" to go-around and cleared it in for landing on Runway 27 (whatever the issue was, "FIFI" was of course back up and flying with "Doc" on Saturday). Whatever happened with the airshow schedule/winds on Friday, the Airshow Boss suddenly had to cut the flying short so as to clear the airport ahead of the Blue Angels, and I could tell this took the B-29 crews a bit by surprise, who it sounded like were planning to be in the air longer than what was allowed.
