These ads abounded during World War II and were used reinforce brand awareness while a company was supporting the war effort instead of being able to provide consumer goods.

Interesting how the second ad seems to be selling the general concept of in-line engines...even the Spitfire's Merlin or the Bf-109s Daimler Benz.
Also not the mention of the Apache..."The British call it the Mustang".
