World War II print ads.
These ads abounded during World War II and were used reinforce brand awareness while a company was supporting the war effort instead of being able to provide consumer goods.

See my comment above about Blackburn aircraft. Brewster should have stuck with coachbuilding. A shame that the market for custom-built automobiles went away, and a shame that the F2A Buffalo wasn't a better fighter.

The Finns did okay with it.
Probably not any worse than other early-war aircraft.
The U.S. was lucky in that we had lessons from the RAF to help improve our aircraft before Americans had to fight in them...The UK had a number of types that weren't up to combat standard.
However, the Bermuda by all accounts was a lousy aircraft.
