Looks like some large chunks of the XC-99 are now at WP as well. How much of her is there now?

Just what you see in the pictures, unless of couses stored else where.

And worthy of mention. The A-7 is the one from the Yankee Air Force Museum. I wonder why it's being moved?

The A-7 move has been the topic of much scuttlebutt, most of it rumors based on heresay that a buddy's friend heard. Since I haven't seen the official response, I won't paraphrase or put words in people's mouths. I'll try and dig up what the story is, unless someone who's more "in the know" than I am can come along and drop some knowledge.

I will say that it's not unusual for the NMUSAF to move static displays around once in a while.

Regarding the A-7 move from Yankee's air park, I agree the NMUSAF does move the static stuff around. I hope the museum gets another A/C for display. (perhaps one of the Lackland F-105's) The Yankee Air Museum has done a pretty good job putting some of those static airframes back together from what was almost scrap. (ie F-86L, T-33, RF-84K FICON) By the way I wonder what happened to the F-84K since the NMUSAF took it back?

I fear it may have been one of the 3 RF-84Ks used to restore another going on display. The 3 airframes were were used for parts and then subsequintly disposed of. I spotted them some time ago in the WPAFB DRMO yard. They were nothing but a heap of scrapped aluminum having been pushed around by forklifts and such. But atleast some or all of the aircraft were saved by a unnamed party and the RF-84s now reside hidden somewhere in the southern Ohio countryside. One of our WIX members posted a images of the aircraft in their current conditions but was reluctant to relaes their where abouts at the owners request.
