Scott, I suspect that the "Stones River Air Service" listed in this entry is in Smyrna, TN as opposed to Smyrna, TX. A quick google search shows that there was a "Stones River Air Service" operated in Tennessee by this gentleman: https://www.murfreesboropost.com/obitua ... a1316.html

Reference location of photo...The December 2017 issue of Warbirds International has a photo that looks to be in the same spot minus children...The caption says - FG-1D N1978M parked next to the corn at La Porte, Indiana during August 1967. The downhill condition of the Corsair is obvious. I had seen the Corsair at Ortner's Airport in Ohio not long after...
