This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Still better than The National Warplane Museum's abysmal lack of updates on their airshow. (That is until the week of the freakin show).

The only act I've seen referenced other than the Thunderbirds and Sean D. Tucker is Scott Yoak with P-51D "Quicksilver." The schedule posted on his Facebook page had Thunder listed.

I would like to put in for vacation time at work to come up if I knew something good was going to be there like the A-20, Doc or the C-97 or a big bomber turn out. Trying to decide between this and Oshkosh this year.

Go to Oshkosh.
Thunder's hey-day as a warbird show has passed, unfortunately.

Which is sad - considering there was a time when I would argue it was the premier warbird show.

For those of you that are going to be in the area for Thunder, we’ll be hosting B-29 ‘Fifi’ during a tour stop in Windsor, Ontario at the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association from August 22-26 (ride flights 25-26). Our airport is only a 20 minute drive from Willow Run. We’ll have more details on our website soon. To book flights see the link here:

It's a dilemma, I understand. I loved it when Thunder used to have the early August shows, where a lot of Oshkosh aircraft would just fly across the lake and come to the show. I understand that Thunder is working around Blue Angels/T-birds schedule. I understand why and I don't blame them - T-birds/Blue Angels bring in large crowds, which means more money for the new museum. That has been the mission since the old museum burnt down in 2004. A majority of the crowd that come to see the jet teams probably couldn't tell you the difference between a B-25 and a B-52, but they are bringing in money to the show. Being that I see both jet teams multiple times a year in Florida, I am personally not interested in shelling out the money they ask for to see the jet teams unless there are some rare or interesting warbirds that are showing up at the show. 2015 was a good example of that - there were a lot of good planes that year - Lancaster, Privateer, Fifi, B-17s, Mossy, JU-52, A-26, a couple B-25s I hadn't seen prior, the FW-190 (even though it was using the wrong engine) along with the Blue Angels. 2017 not so much.
I went to both Oshkosh and Thunder last year.

100th Anniversary of the RAF - maybe some Spits, Canes and a Lanc as well as the Mossy and whatever else we can get RAF Warbird wise. They are planning something like this at Oshkosh

careful now, it says 381st Bomb Group....I read that as B-17s done the the C/S of the 381st. If I am reading it correctly you may need to temper your list a bit.
On the other hand, I have been wrong before ( although never wrong enough to buy Nikon stuff

)
