This was the close down auction of the Flowers scrap yard at Chippenham in 1999.

I made a combined bid to secure the few 20 series heavy duty legs in the pile and these will service Seafire 46 LA564 and Mk 22 Spitfire PK664, both requiring legs.

Difficult legs to locate up to this time as only some 600 odd examples were built out of a total of 23,000.

I cannot remember the price we paid but it was very low...a bargain. :)
