Also, remember their "color" is probably also what Sherwin Williams calls the paint color. I remember with a couple of previous restorations discussed on here that the "Common Name" and FS number didn't match up properly to the original T.O.s nor the modern scheme when looking at Sherwin's paint swatches.

What are the fairings above the aft wing root on both sides of the fuselage? I can't say I've noticed that fairing on other c-47's.
