I assume if she had freckle cream then hair dye and curlers were totally possible... :roll:

Correct. They came along during WW2. They were actually based on a captured German design.

Ah interesting I thought they were just a generator. Not a generator/radio combination.

Hand cranked generators must have existed back then, and that's what I was thinking of.

However JohnB makes a good point about weight.
