Chris checked out in the Spitfire last week, and flew in the Battle of Britain flypast at Gatineau.

Are there any other sibling-combinations current on the Spitfire? I know of a husband-and-wife (Frank Parker and Liz Needham) team in NZ, but brothers?
As for me, I was punted to the Mustang... sigh...

Great that Chris was able to follow in your footsteps for once.

I was so tempted to accuse him of stealing "your" ride, but glad to see you at least got to do something while he was in the Spit.

As for siblings, I seem to remember that Steve Hinton has a brother who has flown a lot of planes with him, maybe them?

I'd appreciate a "Compare and contrast" PIREP on the two aircraft.
Feel free to elaborate. I have time.

The Mustang goes places. The Spitfire turns.

This is awesome! Were you able to fly formation at all? That would be really cool to get to experience with your brother. Good for you.

I'm not sure if Steve Hinton's brother John is checked out in the Spitfire - but I believe his brother in-law John Maloney is checked out in them and I know his son Steven is checked out in them...

MKD, thanks, I couldn't remember Steve's brother's name and I know he keeps a pretty low public profile, but I know he's a pretty good pilot in his own right.

His name is John Hinton and I think he's very often seen flying Plane Of Fame airplanes on various airshows.

Iclo - I know he flies most of the planes and even does quite a bit of film flying just as Steve does, but outside of that, he keeps a pretty low profile. That was my point. If you search "Steve Hinton brother" on Google, it brings up plenty about Steveo, but nothing about John. In fact, although I know he has a SAG card and has several movie credits, if you search "John Hinton", it comes up with very little, even after several pages. That's what I meant by my post.
