Fantasy of Flight

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can give me any idea as to what time/s the various tours or activities occur at Fantasy of Flight, including the new wood shop access and tram tour. Will be visiting FoF during my trip to America in July/August and would like to know these details for my planning. I might have to end up giving them a call, but thought I'd ask here first. Many thanks.

They open at 1030 so be there by 1100. You'll have time to walk through the hangars. The first tour is at 1145 and the second tour is at 1400. You can have lunch in between at their restaurant. You can also get a Stearman flight and take the controls. I dont know that the trolly to the maintenance hangar is running yet. Be sure to call to double check.

Also...Don't forget the "aircraft of the day" flight demo at 3:15. If possible try to attend on Sat/Sun as Kemit himself usually shows up and there is a good chance he may roll out something on the 'heavier' side.

I went in March and the new hangar on the south end of the field was not open to the public on that particular Sunday.

Many thanks for your information. Chuck, I'd love to get across to Kissimmee while I'm in Fl, however I just don't think I'll have time as I'll only be in the state for less than 24 hours total. Fantasy is the place I really want to visit since Kermit's Wirraway is there.

To see that plane, you must be on the 1145 tour.

If you come by Kissimmee at 0830 when we open, you will have plenty of time to do both without any problems. PM me.

It will be there for awhile and its not a Constellation its a Starliner it use to the West German Air Force One.

So that's where that Connie went to ! It used to be on the ramp at Hobby Airport/Houston. They were flying cattle in it. Don't remember exactly but the story was it was making trips between Houston and South America. It was sitting on the ramp for a a couple of years then it disappeared and never came back.
