Great! Dust off those Lancaster mockups that were stored away, make the movie, and then maybe one can replace a static example to put a real Lanc back in the air?
(Come to think about it, wasn't Pensacola supposed to get one of the F8Cs from King Kong? What happened with that?)

Well considering there are 2 lancs under restoration to fly it is highly possible to use 4 of them.

What is the second Lancaster under restoration to fly?
FM159 and FM212 cannot be flown under their current ownership.
FM212 would be the closest possible candidate as most of the work is being done to airworthy specs, but the City of Windsor will not allow her to fly for liability reasons.

One of the Lancs under restoration to fly is here in the U.K. at East Kirkby, forget the number but known as Just Jane.

Yes, NX611 (aka 'Just Jane') is well known as being the only Lancaster currently under restoration to airworthy, which is why I was asking what the 2nd Lanc was. :D

As long as it's been since those Lanc mockups got built, they'll be antiques by the time cameras roll!

As for the dog: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigger_(dog)
They'll for sure have to give the pooch another name, and in this day of PC-addled minds, God help the producers when they find out what the dog was named in real life, regardless what it's named in the film!

That looks great.

Who built them? The studio or a specialty outfit?

Which isn't an issue but people just LOVE to pretend it is and claim outrage about something that hasn't happened.

So rather than complaining here about expectations of people elsewhere complaining, how about talking about a real issue. Like will realistic portrayal of historical PTSD and combat stress help or hinder perceptions and treatment of today's veterans?

Still think the movie that needs to be remade is 633 Squadron, with all the silly elements stripped out, and with special effects that don't look as if they were produced by a bunch of teenagers in their backyard with Airfix kits and firecrackers.

Perhaps in a few years when there are a few more Mosquitos flying, that will look like a more potential project. I'd love to see it for one.
