The Ground Equipment thread for me has been one of the highlights. Also, the Special K thread and XP-82 thread have been a fun follow as always.

Beat me to it! There is a wealth of knowledge coming from John Terrell. It is amazing! Not sure how he keeps up with all the moves, changes, news, rumors, etc.

My favorite was the one where the armchair pilots made the case for two test pilots in the XP-82.

The posts with photos are always appreciated, especially the continuing series' threads of events and restorations.
However, a big thanks to all who maintain and contribute to this site!

The thought was not two test pilots but two equally qualified guys. One captain and the other monitoring the systems and running checklists. Especially since no one has logged any P or F-82 flight time in the last 40 years. Engines and systems, like the coolant systems are monitored with both sets of gages and instruments in both cockpits.
That was the thought.

Special mention for Mark Allen: his photo posts never fail to be interesting. Long may they continue.

1. Thanks to Dave Hadfield I became a pilot for a number of minutes. The fact we went up in an expensive aircraft at zero costs to myself and the years of experience was something I did not have to have. It was a beautiful day, plus the camera work on the flight and also from the ground was superb, all for the push of a key made an amazing moment in time.
Thank you again Dave.
2. The ground equipment thread was another unexpected item. The thought that such equipment should gather so many hits by people looking at what was available in the world was amazing.
Thanks to Noha307
3. Anybody who writes threads and takes a chance that their writings do not get trashed by others, gets my vote.
4. The threads that save people going thousands of kilometres/miles to see an aircraft or museum that they would not normally be able to afford the money involved. The constant professional photography that appears here. The experiences that money cannot buy. Plus the true facts of what has happened in the aviation world.
