Didn't they also "prepare" to use the ME-110, JU-88, and JU-87 in some scenes...even going as far as to have them painted specifically for the movie? Could those be included in that "total?"

Tenuous link to the filming:

I was 8 or 9, school was out for the Summer, I was staying at my grandparents in Walton On Naze in Essex. One day I was out on a breakwater hand lining for crab & some bloke wandered up to see what I'd caught. We chatted for a few minutes & he introduced himself to my mom when she came over as Guy Hamilton & talked about a movie he was making. He had a day off from filming & decided to go to the beach to scope out landscapes for backdrops.

There was an error with Flight address link above which is now corrected. My apologies folks!

Roger that and thank you...
