Fantasy of Flight Polikarpov Po-2, flyable?

Hi all. First time poster, long time reader.

Just wondering if Mr. Weeks' Po-2 is kept airworthy. Back in his youth my dad used to parachute out of them in Hungary and I would love to have a chance actually see/hear one fly.

Where are you located? The FHC has a Po-2 that is kept in flying condition, although I don't know when it last flew.

Vernicator - If your prepared to wait a little while the Shuttleworth PO-2 should be back in the air again which might give you a shorter trip to see one!

There are also airworthy examples in France and Poland, and I'm sure also elsewhere in Easter Europe...

The FAA on-line database lists four Polikarpov Po-2s;

N3602, Training Services Inc., Virginia Beach, VA,
N46GU, Vulcan Warbirds, Inc., Seattle, WA,
N50074, Kermit Weeks, Polk City, FL,
N9016J, Vintage Aircraft International, Nyack, NY.

Incidentally, there's one Po-2 still flying in Hungary, HA-PAO. It is currently owned by the GOldtimer Foundation.

Interesting, I wonder if all of the U.S. reg.'d ones are airworthy.

I am aware of the Goldtimer's Po-2 "Mari Néni". I've also been closely following their restoration and now flying status of Lisunov Li-2 HA-LIX. The DC-3 has always been my all time favorite a/c type and dad also used to parachute out of the Malev and Hungarian Airforce Li-2's back in the day.
