And is a great reason to have pictures stored on this website server. As this thread has turned into a worthless nothing.

Feel free to offer the many tens of thousands of dollars (more?) to make this a realistic option for the person providing this website to offer. Not that he should feel obliged to take on the hassle of administering the result.

Personally I'm going to investigate hosting my own photos (so I don't rely on Flickr) once I get fibre internet in a couple of months.

$500. will buy a hard drive with many terabytes of storage capacity.
I saw a 14 terabyte one for $499. and a 40 terabyte for about $1800. and that should hold many years of photos.

Oh I would have saved all those pictures if we where allowed to, are we?

Because offering free storage to people wouldn't increase the number of photos? And it isn't just storage, it is making them available on-line forever - that's the point isn't it, you being able to download them whenever in the future you decide you want them? And you assume that every user would choose to store them on the site for your convenience, rather than having them wherever they find handy, and providing links. I certainly wouldn't go through the extra time and hassle of doing that.

It is all about storing the photos on this site just like all this text stuff is saved on it. I don't know what your talking about.
