Great article with some stunning photography.
I don't doubt that this would be the most delightful mark of Spitfire to fly.
So clean, with nothing to alter those beautiful Supermarine lines.

The purist in me was struggling with connecting "PR.XI" with that streamlined chin...

But, wow...she's easy on the eyes!

John's photo of him aged 10 in front of PL983, my parents have a similar one of me and my brother, except my brother had climbed up on the wing and was walking up and down it! :shock: severe telling off when he eventually got down.
