I'll be there on Sunday. Very nice line up this year with several planes that haven't attended before (Zero, TP-40), or have not been there in a while (PBY).

I'll be there...but in my WWII gear with our group doing 25th Infantry Division on Guadalcanal.........think this is year number 17 for me (have to go count my mugs :-) ) Pup tent goes up Thursday evening. Some 'new' stuff this year is schedule, so fingers crossed it all shows up. And fingers crossed for something else I shall not mention!

I got there first thing Sunday morning and had a great time.

I've been to most WWII weekends and feel that this one was particularly good. Loved the variety of a few planes I had not seen before. The Reenactor displays, participants, and vehicles were out in force. I thought it was very cool to see more Chinese and Japanese reenactors. Combined with the two P-40's, the Tora Val, Kate, Zero and a real Zero it helped gave the show a very Pacific feel.

Looked like a really good show! I heard that Dixie couldn't get the Cobra and Dauntless there, guess the Helldiver also couldn't make it. For those three being left out and still having a killer show?! Success! Maybe one day I'll make it over to the other side of the country for that weekend. Great photos too!! 8)

Was there on Saturday

Huge shout out to Greg Witmer who's the airboss at the show for a very well paced show and honestly the best designed airshow pattern I've ever seen.

The flying displays were great and really seemed to wrap around the show, Especially the pacific war flight.

Corsair, TBM, Wildcat all in a running fight with the Tora Kate, Val and Zero (real Zero didn't fly on Sat not sure why>)

The show line is an L shape that sticks out and the planes were flying in a tight pattern around.

It was the most interesting airshow flying I've ever seen and it really put you in the middle of the action with planes close in, overhead, all around it was hard to know where to look.

The Wildcat pilot was insane, I mean the grass was already cut when he got there so I don't know why he felt it needed to be shorter

The PBY Catalina was a welcome addition and a first time attendee at the show

I was disappointed that the Dauntless, Helldiver and Aircobra weren't there but, honestly the flying was great on a beautiful day, the crowd was huge and had to be a record, the reenactors who make WWII weekend better than any other airshow (in my opinion) were fantastic, Period music, live performances, WWII Veterans, amazing displays you absolutely should make the effort to come to WWII weekend it's the best there is.

I didn't even notice the Helldiver, SBD, and P-63 were missing till I was on my way home! There was enough to see that I hadn't noticed their absence. That speaks to what a robust show it was. Well done MAAM.

I got to see the Zero and Wildcat 'dogfight' on Friday. Shame it had issues the weekend. That was one of neatest acts I have seen in a long time! I thought the whole pacific flight was really well done. Love how they all overlapped with their flight tracks and were all over the place, especially on Saturday!

It already seems like one of the airshow themes this year will be weather cancellations, and MAAM did a great job (and got lucky!) considering how the weather has been on that side of the country. All of our CA airshows have been solid so far, no weather cancellations for Chino, Hangar 24 at Redlands had the FJ-4 dodge some weather to make it from Idaho, but besides that we have lucked out too. Now fingers crossed on 13+ Corsairs in Michigan in 2 months...
