From what we've been able to piece together there's a couple of warehouses full of unassembled airplanes in China and whenever they need some they just assemble a few from their holdings. Whether or not they are still building new ones from raw materials in a factory or not is kinda unknown.

He was a highly skilled pilot. The terrain looks very steep and he surely picked the best possible choice available. Sad to lose such a talented pilot.
