M.A.: Do you have a copy of Dave Baker's "Design Analysis of the Fleetwings BT-12"? It has a bunch of photos and drawings, as well as fabrication information. If not, pm me with an email address and I'll forward you a copy.

Would love a copy of Dave Bakers “Design Analysis of the Fleetwings BT-12.” It will help a great deal , particularly with reconstructing the missing items.
The Soplata family asked not to post any pictures of their stuff on the internet and I’ll post a bunch of the BT-12 when it gets to its new home. Their place is private and certainly not an “ abandoned aircraft junkyard.” I’ve learned a lot about mr. Walter’s thought process. When he brought something home sometimes he took items and stored them on the property. So a couple more items from the BT-12 have surfaced from just last year. The BT-12 is missing one of its seats and the other may very well turn up inside the C-97 or other fuselages.
A few things are sold and gone with each visit but more is discovered, as well. There was a fuselage jammed into a pile of random stuff. I was able to identify it as a front fuselage of a T-33. Another stripped down fuselage covered in aircraft parts was thought to be a T-33 but I recognized it as a Beech T-34B. Still has it’s blue and white “ Fly Navy scheme.” I always leave with a pictures of stuff I can’t identify and it bugs the heck out of me. Rest assured, the aircraft and items are going to good homes.

If you are going to stay correct to drawings on making parts, you're going to need to do some reading up on stainless forming and heat treating and what you will need in the way of equipment, as well as spot welding equipment. There is some mention of continuous roll welding too. Going to be a definite challenge, so welcome to the club of "Oddball Warbird Projects are US".
