This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I have purchased a P-40 project and I need to update the brochure for the Air Combat Museum, where we will finish it.
I would like to have a picture of another P-40 in flight to use with the proper permission in the brochure that we give out to visitors.
Also need pictures of a Sopwith Camel for that project as well
Any help would be appreciated.

Congrats! Which project did you get, S/N?

Most people don't know the aircraft existed.
It is a N model that is being converted to a dual control P-40. It is pretty far along, the wings are together and the gear is in. The fuselage has the tail feathers mounted and the canopies done. We will have to complete the wiring, hydraulics, cockpits and firewall forward.
It should arrive at my hanger in 2 to 3 months then I will have 2 guys on it full time.

That’s great news. I would love to get rated in one some day. Good luck!

You are welcome to this one if you want it. PM me your email address and I will send you the full size original.
It was taken during the Tora routine so it is somewhat smokey...

Thanks for all of the replies
I will be away for the next couple weeks and will reply to all then.
Not ready to reveal the identity of my project until it is in my hanger. Hopefully by the end of the year.
