It is to me sad to see the Pilatus P-2 in WWII German markings. The type never flew in that service. As the museum has actual German WWII aircraft, why put fake German markings on non-German airplanes?

(Yes, I know, the Pilatus has some landing gear parts patterned after the Me.109, but the design is not license-built and is a Swiss-not German construction).

The Pilatus P-2 N5241M, which was in nice, accurate Swiss markings the last time I saw it, has now gone full foo fighter with mock Luftwaffe paint. Yuck.

What's the story with the Zero aft fuselage on the wall? Is that a Mock Up, T-6 Conversion, original???

I can't find the source of the information now, but I swear I recall reading that the Pilatus was finished in those markings using temporary movie paint for some film work back in February (the P-51 documentary being released next year), which also featured the POF's P-51D and P-51A in movie paint, as well as the POF Zero and Frasca Fw-190.

It is reportedly the rear fuselage from A6M3 c/n 3032. It was used in a Zero that was rebuilt from parts of a few different wrecks by the Allies, in Australia, in 1943, and this is likely all that remains. https://www.pacificwrecks.com/aircraft/a6m3/3032.html
