Wanted all of you to know that there is a Airshow here in Burlington VT on Aug 18-19 for the Anniversary of the VTANG. The USAF Thunderbirds will be giving a show on the 18th out over the Burlington Waterfront. On the 19th will be a Airshow at the airport. My father is on the board to organize it from florida and is pulling his connections once again, both the warbird community and govt connections.
I was told by him to wait on some details until confirmed, but boys, your not going to want to miss this.
So put it in your calandar, should be a good one.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

I will find out if there is a web site.

On the warbird list, I do know there is a P-47 that is comming. The USAF Heritage F-4 out of Tyndall is also going to be here. Our N3N will be on the line. I also think my uncle's BT-13 will be up. I also heard that a ww2 reenactor parachute team has been invited ( but that was from other than my father). So I am sure that my former company across the lake will bring there C-47 N59NA.....for you brits (a actual Dakota!!!) USAAF never had this one in the inventory)

Dad did mention that he had a Corsair and a TBM on the list. But the big suprise to me has not been confirmed as of yet so I am not going to mention but it will be awsome if it happens!!!
I also believe he mentioned a Mustang.
I will get the particulars this weekend when he comes up on who in the warbird community will be here.
Sounds like this would be a good Fall New England WIXER meet.

Interesting,

As a transplant to New England I am very interested in seeing what airshows are out here. Hopefully, I can make this one.

I will mark the calender.

I had a project with VTANG to replace the aircraft arrestor systems. I think one end is nearing completion now, but I don't think the other end will be complete by that date.

I would be interested to see one of these in action.

I am going to assume that so far you are talking about Jeff Clymans airplanes?

Does this mean that either the P-40 or the Catalina are coming?

I talked a bit with dad, Yes there is a P-40 comming also!!!

As we were talking about it, he told me that its not a Open airshow for the public, just a open house for the VTANG. Yet the Show with the Birds on SAT over the lake IS free and the vintage A/C will give a show, Yet on sunday the public cant see them???? I told him that was STUPID. I will work on this some more, I will also ask for anyone on WIX, if you really want to go, l will ask on getting you in.

Dad also mentioned that the USAF backed out on the F-4, said that you guys already have the Birds and the Heritage Flight F-86 & somthing else, I cant remember which.

Just to take a little bit of the vagueness and mystery out of the warbirds that are scheduled:

Warbirds Over Long Island are committed (probably P-40E, P-51D).

The Corsair and TBM are from the Collings Foundation.

I'm going to guess that the Jug is probably Clyman's because the Tennessee P-47s don't list this show on their schedules.

I have no insight into the awesome warbird surprise, but when it is finalized, it would be a good idea to publicize it. Cf. Dr. Strangelove: "... but ze whole point of ze Doomsday Device is lost if you keep it a secret! Vhy didn't you tell the vorld, eh?!"

If I remember right the ANG only occupies a little of the actual airport up there. you can always find a spot on the other side.
Is the old tower still an observation area?
