Good news that the aircraft are finding new homes, I see the award winning Corsair, the P40, Catalina and Lysander are all pending, it will be interesting to see where they end up.

Curious about the C46 and if it will ever be bought. Looks like they have dropped the $250K price to "Accepting offers" actually a decent deal for a museum t pick up.

It’s odd that the C-46 and C-117D Super Gooney haven’t sold. My guess is the paperwork isn’t clear or they’ve had a lot of work done that isn’t kosher with the FAA, something weird. The C-117D is a prized load hauler.
Cosmetically , both aircraft look great. The prices are quite reasonable.

You think? I would love to have either one, but the reality is the working days of a round engine WWII transport are 99% done. Maintainability is going down daily due to part availability and the challenge of finding someone who can work on older aircraft. The same problems exist if you want them as toys or as museum flyers to take to shows.

Nice to see Platinum listings actually start to move. For the longest time it seemed like very few of their aircraft ever sold.

Their sales has a lot to do with the US and world economy, the exchange rates, and also what an investor can do with that money relative to expanding their business, the stock market, real estate, etc.
At least that’s my understanding. Their inventory is always “ top shelf” . If you won the lottery is there any doubt all of us would drop some coins on a few of their listings? I’ve also been told the collector airplane market mimics what’s going on in the collector car world.

It appears the Avian and Fleetwings Sea Bird are now owned by Walt Bowe and Carlene Mendieta and will be based in California. Both aircraft are at Dakota Territory Air Museum through Sunday.

The PBY-6A N4NC was sold to the Mid America Flight Museum at Mount Pleasant, TX and has already been flown there. It was registered to 'Glover William Scott' on 24th September. I have no details on a sale of the Canso A N222FT yet but note it is still registered to 'Connie' Edwards.

Thanks! Hopefully some more will pop up on the east coast soon, but for now I'm glad I got to see MAM's Cat a few times this year!
