This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

1) Duane Doyles Corsair project(s)
2) AT-10 that POF either still has or?
3) Former Thunder City Buccaneers
4) Gerry Yeagan Hawker Seafury
5) P-47D project(s) at Westpack
A note fo the Mods since these projects I asked about and any further post asking about projects are known about then there should be NO reason why this thread shouldn't be pulled. And yes I know that I'm on Triple Secret Probation.
I don't know if you realize it, but you are asking the Mods to pull this thread. I think you meant to say "
there should be no reason why this thread should be pulled."

Well since Im the culprit that started the original thread I'll stick my neck out again as well. I will start out by saying that I couldn't figure out why my thread wasn't on the board. In fact I never gave it any thought that the tread had been pulled. Im really naïve.
Any updates on Kermit Week's P-51A out in California? Once again a project that is known about. Also while on P-51A's any updates on the late Gerry Beck's P-51A's projects? I got to visit Gerry shop in 2005 when he was still working on the P-51A which he lost his life in. A real shame. I hope this doesn't get me into hot water.

I think the P-38 in the 1st post is the thread killer. No direct knowledge just a hunch...

I've been around POF for over 30 years and worked there for a few years. I never saw or heard someone discuss an AT-10. I'm not saying they don't have one or never did, only that if they did it escaped my attention. They have a lot of stuff and some may have just been passing through. I'd love to see any photos you have of an AT-10 at POF!
I was at Westpac last July and did not see any Thunderbolt projects being actively worked. They do have a number of hulks sitting around however and I remember they were making lots of replacement parts even back in the Rialto days. I suspect if someone wanted to buy a project and have them restore it, they could accommodate that request.

I'll let this post stay, for now. If I get a complaint about this I will pull it.
Projects that are "under the radar" are usually that way for a reason.

Hi Rob, what Corsair projects does Duane have? I spoke to Jerry trying about a year ago trying to organise a possible purchase/ trade for his Fury, it ultimately didnt happen but he did say it was moving up the priority chain, at present its stored with the engine well inhibited, Pete

There’s no AT10 at POF to miss or to see in 2019. One of the latest Warbird Intl’s has a pic of it and stated it simply rotted, and was scrapped in the 1960s. I just saw that this week.

Has anyone ever talked to someone that flew them? Did it fly like the BE-18 or more like a Cessna UC-78 “Bamboo bomber”? It looks like a pretty good design.

Is the Corsair that was being rebuilt near Livermore airport about 3 years ago one of those mentioned above?
