This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Y'know, I saw this pic of that gorgeous Potez 63-11, and my very first thought was... "Ooh, a target!"
But seriously, this is unbelievably GREAT news, it will be positively thrilling to see this extinct type return to the air. And that C.460 is just SEXY...

To revive an old thread, I know the Potez was offered for sale a while back, but did it ever actually fly?

In Aviation History mag of Nov. 2012, Stephan Wilkinson reported it flew its 1st flight in July of 2012. I haven't seen any photos or video tho...

I seem to remember Classic Wings had a feature on the completed machine with an interview with M. Garric - perhaps DaveM2 will be here with details before I find my copy!

I know that it was hopped down the runway in May 2012, but was it ever properly flown (at the very least, around the pattern)?

Mike, mea culpa...tho it reads, "Potez Replica's First Flight", the article goes on to mention 3 hops down a 5000 foot runway in early July. So for 2 or 3 months it appears to be still hopping. Mr. Wilkinson is a member here, it might be a good time to contact him to see if he has any updates...and piccies and video ...in true flight..would be nice.

Huh?
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=65358&hilit=potezLooks like Barnstormers scooped everyone else over 2-1/2 years ago!

Yeah, must admit BDK had me scratching my head over his post. I asked myself...
(a) Is he using sum kinda fancy new math that's popular with the aviation engineers nowadays? Might 'esplain a few things going on with Boeing???
(b) How long is it ethically correct to wait to shoot a member in the haid once he's bit by a zombie???

Can...errr should... anyone do it, or is that a "Scott level" decision??

Please forgive me, I'm a decade older now!

Surprised this one popped up.
I'd sure like to see this bird in person.
