Seeing the pictures of Red Tail in my P-38 post got me to seeing how the rebuild was going. I took those picture at the 2004 Langley AFB VA Air Show the weekend before Don's accident. This was the first time for me that I saw a Early Mustang fly. Don was an amzing pilot I had never seen a Mustang move like that before. It left an indellable mark in my memory. When i get home tonight I'll see about posting more pictures of Red Tail.
Anyways here is a link to the site. Looks like they're making great strides to getting her back in the air.

Glad to see work is progressing well on getting Red Tail back in the air after the unfortunate accident.
I'd also like to get more information on the A-model Mustang that is in the background of the last picture in the latest gallery if possible

Gerry Beck has been EXTREMELY generous to the RedTail Project and that would be his A model in the background.

I think perhaps that is Gerry Beck's replica A-model. I seem to remember that a lot of the work on the Red Tail was being done at Gerry's place. I may be completely wrong of course, but that's what I recall.
Cheers,
Richard
