Typical reality show format designed to entertain the general audience. A "nuts & bolts" type of show would be perfect for the crowd here on WIX, but too boring for most. I like the idea though of trying to reach a "new audience", and possibly get the younger generation interested in aviation.

Additionally, I believe I read somewhere Jerry Yagen already owns the remains of a few P-38s.

Hmm. Needs more brushed cymbals to punctuate the dialogue (industry standard is every other word) and add some slow pans to South Pacific bureaucrats glowering at the camera with arms folded (playing the villains), and more crocodiles leaping at the camera right before every commercial break. Don't forget at least three dozen words bleeped - if you don't have enough profanity, bleep some of the clean words and no one will know the difference.

Was thinking the same thing, Wild Cargo was painted in 2008.

This video/series has been discussed here a few times before, years ago. It was originally broadcast for the first time between April-June 2008, so would have likely been filmed in 2007. Based on the status of the Yagen P-39F project at the time the episode was shot, it was certainly not earlier than 2007, as the aircraft wasn't that complete yet at the start of 2007.

And sparks flying from some grinding operation in the workshop- thought all restoration shows had to have sparks (literally) flying......

On my numerous trips to Jerry's/MAM museum I have thought a P-38 curiously missing, but I'm more excited about the Tony and Kingfisher....Great place.
