I have some footage of an AT-6/SNJ "Thunder Chicken" from 1990 and would like to know who the
owner/ ID of the plane was a that time. I was flying back seat with George Coombes in his Harvard
when "Thunder Chicken" came up in formation at the Brady show.

Thank you,

Stephen

Thunder Chicken was owned by Pete Howard, and David Manire. I believe that there was another partner, but I cannot remember right now. It was based at Mike McGlothlins hangar, "The Brookshire Air Force" in Brookshire, Texas. I was fortunate to get a few rides in Thunder Chicken, back in the 80s.

Both gentlemen, have passed away.

David was ferrying the SNJ to the new owner, when IIRC, he had an off-field landing somewhere Norrh (Iowa? )

I'll check my data and see if I have the BuNo.

Saludis,

Tulio

Thank you both Tulio and Mike, I ran into two "Thunder Chicken's" also. Really curious as to the Bu. No. on Pete's and if the
aircraft still exists.

This information comes from Bill Word's thread here at WIX, on the 1987 Wings Over Houston aircraft attending:

N.A. T-6G
c/n 169-245
S/n 49-3141
N-158DC

Saludos,

Tulio

EDIT:

I found that the 'Chicken made an off-field landing, while it was being ferried to Northern Illinois, to be put up for sale.

The insurance company paid the owners, and kept the airplane. It was eventually sold, repaired / rrstored.

SO, THE AIRPLANE mentioned at the start of this thread, IS THE SAME THUNDERCHICKEN that I,used to know.

Saludos,

Tulio
