B17 Wing flap Control Assembly

Sat Feb 29, 2020 12:45 pm

I have a couple of these bottle shaped B17 wing flaps opening assemblies. one form the wing in chromate and two of the type from the fuselage section.

The one for the wing for the model G is shown here as item 20 with part number 43-8754
The bracket it swings on is part 30 and is 43-8754

The one I have has body 43-8755 and bracket 43-8753.

The assembly number is still correct as ASSY 7-1365-8 which is for inner wing flap assembly LH.

I checked the manual for the E and it has the same assembly number but ten of the 43-8754 bracket assemblies.

So is the 43 -8755 and 43-8753 unit from a different model or a change in a model sequence ?
Thanks

If I understand what you're asking for, you want to know which B-17 models those part numbers are for? If so, I looked at the drawings for 43-8753 and 43-8755 and they both say they're correct for the E, F and G models. So does 43-8754. But the assembly drawing 7-1365 says E and F with no mention of the G model.
