Pass the word for a 4-blade Bent-Wing owner to "step up!"

Only Information so far seems to be a "Base Open House" in the 1950's. Still digging on this one.

Looks like an interesting set of invasion markings, but for where?

It's an early -4, still has the rounded windscreen. I forget what the red/orange tail band indicates.

Well that's certainly a new one! Would be cool to see it represented on a flyer today. When did the rounded windscreen change on the -4 production line? Any aircraft (besides the prototype) that still have it?

IIRC, nearly half the -4 production run had the -1D type windscreen and canopy. I think there might be a few of them still around, but not 100% sure.

Note that ALL the cannon-armed -4Bs had the flat windscreen. So if you see a round windscreen on a -4, you know the airplane had 6x.50s, but if you see the 20mm cannon stubs, you know it had a flat windscreen. If you ONLY can see the 6x.50 ports, you can't be sure which windscreen/canopy it had.

Our -4 at War Eagles has a round windscreen.

Master Modeler Darren Roberts saw the pic after I posted a link at Hyperscale, and built an EXCELLENT model of the airplane:
