Patches I embroidered

Thu Apr 02, 2020 12:45 pm

A while back a member was looking for patches of his Grandfather's service in WWII. I told him I would give it a try and he sent me graphics based on pictures of the original patches and I embroidered patches of about 4"

Photo 1 is of the original patch and 2 is my embroidered patch.

Photo 3 is of the original patch and 4 is my embroidered patch.

I am mailing them to him today

Wow! They're definitely going to be pleased with those.
They are excellent.

Thanks again for doing these Jerry! My father purchased a few B-10 repro jackets for us, and some family members. And so we wanted to continue the tradition of honoring my grandfather, Peter J. Soltis with recreating the typical B-10 that would have been worn in the 320th. But the 320th "Moby Dick" patch is not a common one. and as far as I can tell is out of print. I've seen a few repros out there and there quality is... sporadic at best. So I put a inquiry to WIX here a month or two ago, and Jerry came to the rescue!

I found working with him so super easy, he was effective, fast, and reasonably priced. If you have any patch needs, I suggest giving Jerry a try! I will try and remember to take a picture of the finished jacket.

If you want to read a little more about my grandfather and our 42 Jeep that we've dedicated to him and the 90th BG click here:

Nice work Jerry! When the museum is open, do you still volunteer there?

Hi Pat,

Hope all going well with you at these time

NO on the museum, After ten years, (2007-2016) I was forced ti give it up due to my wife coming down with a serious illness requiring me to be a caregiver

I miss it as it was one of the most rewarding times of my 87 years. Not only the fellow veterans that I served with but also the Heroes I had the honor of meeting.

Col. Bud Day, and others of the Misty Crews, Doolittle Raiders, an old fragile wheel chair bound Tuskegee Airman and many many more.

Jerry

No worries Jerry, it was all my faulty communications skills, I appreciate the effort and the samples.

Really nice work.

Do you also do patches that are not historical if a design was sent to you?

I would have to look at it to see how complicate it might be ... also nothing that is copyrighted like pro sports, etc.

Not copyrighted. It's from a 1950's movie - The Hunters. It's the Cobra Flight Patch.

Not a great picture but it's the best I can do:

O was thinking of a patch where that white ring is around 3-4" in diameter

Unfortunately the photo was so bad the program couldn't work with it

Sorry, Jerry
