Greetings fellow WIX'ers...

You may have seen some posts from me over the past several years regarding our restoration of the F-4 Phantom at Newark Heath Ohio airport; its a true veteran with combat history.

http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/AirframeDos ... rial=15860

The adverse Ohio weather and UV have faded our USAF, ejection seat triangles and other stickers; Im looking for any recommendations on where to go for replacements. There are a few good sign companies in Newark-Heath but figured I would ask around for any speciality graphics shops.

In addition, we are looking for ideas on upgrades for this bird...perhaps night cockpit lighting, nav/landing lights, etc. We also need a new front left windscreen as its really crazed...the rest of the glass is good.

Within small groups and six feet apart...of course....

It's a stretch but this guy was helpful a couple years ago and might be able to provide a vector file of certain markings that you could then take to most any graphics shop for printing. info@caracalmodels.com

One other thing to remember, if the ejection triangles don't need to be 1000% authentic, many airplanes in the Vietnam era used a painted triangle and had the words "EJECTION SEAT" or "ESCAPE SYSTEM" stenciled over it using only paint. Would look good to the average person and likely last longer.

I've got the Adobe Illustrator files for the stencils we used on Pima's F-4C. They are set up for a stencil cutter. I'll send you the ejection seat triangles if you want them. All you need to do is to print out 4 copies on a stencil cutter and you're ready to paint. If you want them send me a PM with your email.

Several years ago when researching a paint job for our F-84F James (intucson) sent me information on the stenciling. I thought the ejection triangles would be easy as they are standard. Except they are not. I found variations between aircraft types and time periods. So, I started drawing each variation in Corel Draw. Here is the end result:

I used the ones for the F-84F to print my own stencils and that is what I would suggest for anyone painting an outdoor display.

I will be happy to send the vector file to anyone interested. As stated it is done in Corel Draw, but can be imported for Adobe Illustrator.
